"I don’t have an engineering degree. But I’ve always had a hunger for knowledge about watches — and I pursued it passionately, gathering knowledge bit by bit. Now I know: the most important thing for a watchmaker is a deep and genuine interest in the craft."
In 2012, Maxim became the lead specialist for high-end watch repairs at the finest service center in Chișinău. In 2015, he was invited to take on a similar role in Saint Petersburg. Over time, he was appointed head of the service center, continuing to work personally on the most complex models — perpetual calendars, minute repeaters, and tourbillons made by brands like A. Lange & Söhne, Chopard, and Ulysse Nardin.
Alongside his work, Maxim began experimenting with his own creative projects. His first project was a skeletonized movement based on a Soviet-era watch. That project set the direction for his journey — he refined his skills, explored new techniques, and began forming his own unique approach. His ultimate goal was clear: to open his own independent workshop.
